AUS - Allied Universal Services
There for You
Overview
Allied Universal, the nation’s largest security service. When it comes to operations at AUS, attention to detail is critical. There is no room for error. This ethic would be carried into crafting designs to be used by employees nationwide.
Problem Statement
Despite the imposing size of the company, AUS faced the dilemma of retaining a profit margin for its services. Due to the slim margins, the scheduling division would be spread too thin to handle day to day operations.
Hypothesis
Building digital tools to facilitate operations for both guards and schedulers would improve scheduling efficiency, increase retention, and increase company profit.
Design Process
During this project I iterated on a double diamond design approach. This cycle would start with stakeholders and user interviews followed by design thinking exercises. Finally I would go into designing, prototyping, and usability testing.
Users
During this project I would be leading the designs for three main user roles. The scheduler, the guard, and the admin. Although separate, the designs for these roles would be interrelated.

Design System

Role: Admin

Role: Guard

Role: Scheduler
